Education

TMT is highly concerned with advancing education in Indonesia as the foundation for the nation’s character development and individual ethics. The education pillar program is implemented through scholarships, school renovation, and teacher training, donations, and more.

Since 1996, through Lembaga Bantuan Pendidikan Mitratama foundation, TMT has assisted high-performing children of employees within TMT Group with their educational costs. The same concern is also shared within TMT Group's subsidiaries.

Trakindo as one of TMT's subsidiaries has provided educational assistance to 30 elementary schools that have become fostered schools. Trakindo also pioneered the heavy equipment study program in 8 Vocational High Schools (SMK) and 6 Polytechnics majoring in Heavy Equipment Engineering throughout Indonesia since 1996, which has now been approved as a national curriculum. The program includes the development of curriculum and teaching materials, facilities, supporting tools and training of teaching staff, and instructors at Trakindo's Training Center. The program has benefited more than 100 teachers, and more than 2,000 students have been absorbed into the workforce at Trakindo and other heavy equipment companies.

The ABM Investama Group, MahaDasha Group, CSUL finance and Radana Finance share the same concern for education. Scholarship assistance programs for high achieving students, book donation campaigns to increase the interest of students in reading, and school improvements to entrepreneurship training are several of the CSR initiatives that have been implemented.

This series of programs in the educational pillar have benefitted students at all school levels, starting from elementary school until polytechnic level, scattered across the country from Aceh till Papua.
